Samuel Umtiti prefers Chelsea move over Man Utd switch
Samuel Umtiti has been very impressive since completing his £22.5m move to Barcelona back in the summer of 2016 but the France international continues to be linked with a big-money move to the Premier League.
Chelsea and Manchester United are among clubs interested in the ball-playing centre-back but according to Don Balon, the 24-year-old is said to be preferring a move to Stamford Bridge rather than Old Trafford.
Valued at €60m, Umtiti comes with a personal recommendation from former Barcelona manager Luis Enrique, who was the man who signed the Frenchman from Lyon.
Enrique is believed to have informed Chelsea, who would like the Spaniard to come in and replace Antonio Conte as manager next season, that he would like the club to go out and sign Umtiti if he was to be brought in.
Umtiti has been a regular in the Barcelona starting XI since his arrival at the club and they fear that a club could come in and prise him away, with both Chelsea and Manchester United keen.
