Chelsea goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois has revealed that he is committed to the club.
The Chelsea shot-stopper says that he will, at least, see out the rest of his contract with the club.
His current deal is set to expire at the end of next season, but contract talks are yet to begin over a potential new deal.
Courtois says that he is waiting until the end of the season to discuss his future with the club.
However, for the moment, he is fully committed to the Chelsea cause for as long as his contract remains.
Speaking to The Mirror, Courtois said this:
I’m committed to Chelsea. I have a contract until next year and I will be here. I will do my best for it.
Obviously there is no extension signed but I don’t think now is the moment to do it. I think it is better to wait until the end of the season. All I can say is I’m committed to Chelsea and also committed for next year.
Courtois has been linked to Real Madrid in recent weeks, but was heavily criticised for his performance against Barcelona in the Champions League.
Lionel Messi was able to, twice, put the ball through Courtois’ legs in a 3-0 win for the Spanish side.
