Conte ‘can’t wait to leave’ says Vialli

Former Chelsea player and manager Gianluca Vialli says Antonio Conte cannot wait to leave the club at the end of the season.

Speaking on Sky Sports Italia, as reported by the Metro, the former Blues star says his fellow countryman has become disillusioned with the way the club is being run.

Conte can’t wait to leave Chelsea. He can’t stand that they sell or buy players without consulting him. The truth is, Chelsea would like a manager who is more of a club man.

Conte is widely expected to leave Stamford Bridget this summer, despite having a further year remaining on his current deal.

Failure to qualify for the Champions League is likely to be a catalyst for Chelsea to move the Italian on.

The former Juventus and Italy boss has vented his frustrations towards the club’s transfer policy throughout the season, distancing himself from the team’s problems on the pitch.

Sunday’s 3-1 defeat to Spurs at Stamford Bridge all-but sealed Chelsea’s fate this season.

The Blues are eight points behind their local rivals in fourth place with seven games left to play this season.
