Ethan Ampadu tribunal hearing to take place today

Chelsea and Exeter City will attend a tribunal hearing in London today to determine how much the League Two outfit are owed for Ethan Ampadu.

Football.London report that Exeter’s valuation of the youngster was ‘considerably higher’ than the sum being offered by Chelsea, and no agreement could be made.

Ampadu moved to Stamford Bridge at the age of 16 last July, having made his professional debut with the Grecians at just 15 years, 10 months and 26 days old.

The youngster made 13 appearances in his breakthrough season, whilst still attending school and taking his GCSE exams.

Since moving to London, Ampadu has impressed both domestically and internationally, putting in a man of the match display against Bournemouth in the Carabao Cup last December shortly after making his senior Wales debut against France.

In total, he has seven Chelsea appearances and two Wales caps to his name this term.

The defender is rated highly by the Chelsea hierarchy, and at the age of 17, has a long future ahead of him.

In a statement, Exeter revealed that chairman Julian Tagg, manager Paul Tisdale, director of football Steve Perryman and finance director Keith Mason will all attend the hearing.
