Chelsea target Leon Bailey’s Leverkusen future is now doubtful after a social media outburst by the player’s adoptive father.
Bailey has been a Chelsea target for a while, with the club sending scouts to watch the winger in action in the Bundesliga.
However, Bailey was on the substitutes bench for Bayer’s German Cup semi-final clash with Bayern Munich in midweek and was then rested ahead of a crucial clash with Borussia Dortmund on Saturday.

This led to Bailey’s adoptive father, Craig Butler taking to Instagram to blast Leverkusen for dropping the winger.
He said:
They put him on the bench. They put him on at left-back. They don’t pass to him. The opponent double teams him. They kick him down. What does he do? Gets up and put the free kick in the back of the damn net.
Bailey has also been linked with a move to Manchester United.
