Chelsea are reportedly ready to make an offer to Manchester United to try and sign Marcus Rashford in the upcoming summer transfer window, according to The Metro.
Rashford is one of United’s and England’s bright youngsters, with the young local Manc performing incredibly this season on the left wing for José Mourinho’s side.
He is part of an attack competing for a place in the starting XI with the likes of Romelu Lukaku, Alexis Sanchez, Juan Mata, Jesse Lingard and Anthony Martial.
But many have said that he may have to leave Old Trafford for more minutes to fulfil his potential.
This is despite him making over 50 appearances for the Red Devils and in the Mourinho era in West Manchester, he has made more appearances than any other player, but these are mostly from the bench and he is not getting his fair share of a full 90 minutes.
It is believed that Mourinho would love to keep him at Old Trafford, but knows that many clubs will come knocking especially if he shines at the World Cup in Russia next month.
It has been reported that Chelsea may face competition from Spanish giants Real Madrid and Barcelona who are willing to bring him to La Liga.
If t was the case, then Chelsea would have to convince their former manager that he should sell his star young man to a Premier League rival.
