Conte responds to reports linking Martial with Chelsea

Chelsea boss Antonio Conte has responded to reports that Anthony Martial will be joining the club at the end of the season.

Martial could see his time at Manchester United brought to an end after being afforded very infrequent opportunities by boss Jose Mourinho since the turn of the year.

The Frenchman has just one year left to run on his current deal, meaning United may be keen to cash in on the player rather than losing him for nothing next summer.

A host of other clubs, including Juventus, have also been linked with the player as his career at United is once again thrown into doubt.

Conte’s own future at the club is far from certain, too, with him being heavily linked with a move to Napoli at the end of the season.

The Blues boss, as quoted by the Mirror, addressed the situation in his press conference ahead of his side’s visit from Liverpool this weekend.

I think this is not the right moment to speak about this. I don’t like to talk about players of other teams. It’s disrespectful for the other players, for my players, for the other clubs. Our focus is to finish this season in the best possible way.
