Eden Hazard has implied that he won’t sign a new deal at Chelsea until he sees which players the Blues sign over the summer, according to Bein Sports.
The Belgian has reportedly been offered a deal worth around £300,000 per week by Stamford Bridge officials to stay in West London.
Hazard has been linked with moves elsewhere in the past, with Real Madrid and Manchester City apparently interested in the 27-year-old.
The former Lille man is not out of contact as his current deal runs until 2020, however, a refusal to sign an extension could spark rumours that he wants to leave Stamford Bridge in this window.
The Belgian international said:
I’m waiting for new players next season, I want good players because I want to win the Premier League next season.
At 27 years-old, this could Hazard’s last long contract during the prime years of his career, which is making him think extra carefully this time.
That’s why I’m taking my time. It’s something big, so I need to think about a lot of things. But one thing is for sure: I’m happy here.
