Musonda has Celtic loan cut short

According to Goal, Chelsea youngster Charly Musonda will be recalled from Scottish champions, Celtic.

The 21-year-old originally signed a deal to stay at Celtic for 18 months but has had the deal shortened due to the lack of playing time that Musonda has had at the club.

The young Belgian only started three games since joining on loan back in January.

Musonda was not in Celtics last matchday squad due to a shoulder injury according to boss Brendan Rodgers:

Charly hurt his shoulder in the week when he was away. He has gone back to Chelsea to get treatment on that. So like I say, he may or may not feature between now and the end of the season.

But he is obviously a Chelsea player, so they want to look at him to make sure he is okay.

Musonda put a heartfelt post on his Instagram account thanking Celtic for the opportunity of playing for the club.

He also made his Stamford Bridge debut and scored his first goal for the club this season.
