Lewandowski tells Poland squad to let him complete Chelsea transfer

Robert Lewandowski has requested that the Poland national team allow him extra time to finalise a move to Chelsea this summer.

Reports in Poland from Przeglad Sportowy claim that the striker wants to delay his World Cup arrival following a ‘concrete offer’ from Chelsea.

The Blues have been heavily linked with a move for the striker after Real Madrid ended their interest in the Bayern player.

There are said to be some concerns over the deal from Lewandowski’s side and dropping down into the Europa League next season, but Chelsea are in the market for a striker.

Alvaro Morata has failed to impress since joining the club and has been linked with an early exit.

Lewandowski is said to be keen on leaving Bayern this summer and the player has failed to hide his frustration throughout the season.

At the age of 29, the striker may feel that this summer is his final chance to seal one big move.
