Maurizio Sarri will have to make a decision over the next coming days as to whether he stays at Napoli or takes over at a new club.
The latest team to approach Sarri is Zenit, who have tried to get the Italian to Russia in the past and they are attempting to bring him in again.
They hope to get the Italian with the plan of a new project and a salary of €4m net of taxes with additional bonuses.
Over the past week, Zenit club officials met Sarri at his home in Naples. Representing Zenit were Mitrofanov and Dyukov, who are the two candidates for club’s president role, also present was attorney Giulio Dini.
If Sarri says he will join, Zenit are considering payment to Napoli to trigger the release clause in his contract. Sarri is expected to make a decision this week on his future with Chelsea apparently keen for him to take over from Antonio Conte.
