Antonio Conte will consider taking a break from football if he is sacked by Chelsea with it reported that Chelsea will have to pay an expensive compensation package if they do choose to terminate his contract.
Conte has been left in the dark since the Blues won the FA Cup final on Saturday, with it seeming that even that victory may not be enough to save the Italian’s job.
The Italian has made it clear to the media that he will not walk away from the remaining year on his contract, meaning it is in Chelsea’s hands if they want to get rid. The compensation bill for his sacking is reported to be a staggering £9million.
The only other option for the Italian would be for another club or country to come in and take Conte off Chelsea’s hands. It was rumoured that Conte was wanted for the Italian national team job but Roberto Mancini has now been appointed and the list of potential suitors for Conte is ever decreasing.
