Eden Hazard is keen for Chelsea to push through a deal for Maurizio Sarri this summer following some glowing praise from Dries Mertens.
Football Italia claims that Hazard has spoken to the Napoli forward about the coach and heard good things.
After speaking to his Belgian teammate Mertens, Hazard is said to be ‘pushing hard’ for a deal to be completed.
Hazard’s future at Stamford Bridge remains up in the air and reports have claimed that the new manager will be chosen in an effort to keep him happy at Chelsea.
Sarri is reportedly closing in on the Chelsea job after Napoli hired former Blues boss Carlo Ancelotti as his replacement.
A move for Sarri has been complicated by his departure from Napoli, meaning the Premier League side could still be forced into paying his release clause.
Sarri came close to guiding Napoli to the Scudetto this season, but missed out marginally, despite reaching an impressive 91 points.
