Frank Lampard has confirmed that he is in talks to become the manager of Championship side Derby County.
The Chelsea legend was asked about the rumours linking him with Derby whilst he was working as a pundit on BT Sport’s Champions League coverage and he said
There’s been interest from Derby. I’ve been speaking to them. I am ambitious and will carry on speaking to them when I get home.

Lampard had been working at Chelsea for a while as he completed his coaching badges, and there had been some talk of him perhaps taking some type of role with the club, but it seems like he has his heart set on being a manager.
Derby are in the market for a new boss after Gary Rowett decided to leave and join Stoke City after the Rams were knocked out of the playoffs.
