Sarri concerned over potential collapse in Chelsea move

Sarri concerned over potential collapse in Chelsea move

Maurizio Sarri and his representatives are reportedly growing concerned over the Italian’s potential move to Chelsea, with the deal set to be an expensive process for the Blues.

It’s claimed exclusively by Calciomercato that Sarri and his entourage are becoming worried over their chances of sealing a move to Stamford Bridge, with financial procedures still yet to be completed.

Sarri is understood by Calciomercato to have already agreed on a deal to become Chelsea’s manager following his dismissal from Napoli earlier on in the month.

However, with Sarri’s release clause worth €8m in his contract at the Stadio San Paolo expiring on Thursday, the Italian may be forced to negotiate his move away from the club based on the grounds of mutual consent if Chelsea do not pay Napoli by the end of the month.

This, coupled with the reported €11.5m required for Chelsea to pay compensation to Antonio Conte for his sacking, is proving to be a concern for the deal, with plenty of monetary facets still to be discussed.

Chelsea want to appoint Sarri as the club’s new manager but will be forced to part with plenty of money if they are to do so, if Calciomercato’s report is to be believed.
