Chelsea have made contact with Gonzalo Higuain’s agent about the possibility of a summer transfer, according to reports in Italy.
The Blues apparently approached Nicolas Higuain, Gonzalo’s brother and agent, to get an understanding about his availability.
The Juventus star was quoted earlier this week, saying that the Premier League is ‘the most beautiful League in the world’, which raised a few eyebrows amongst the Chelsea fanbase.
Having sold Diego Costa, Chelsea brought in Alvaro Morata but the Spaniard didn’t set the world alight at Stamford Bridge and he’s already being linked with a move to Juventus.
If Morata does fancy a move back to the Italian champions, some type of swap deal involving Higuain could well be on the cards.
Quite how that would work in terms of finances remains to be seen as th Argentine star is five years older than Morata, but he has a better track record in terms of goalscoring than the Spaniard.
