Chelsea striker Alvaro Morata is understood to be a top target for AC Milan this summer.
The Blues forward endured a difficult first season in English football. Morata started the campaign well but struggled to develop consistency and was riddled with niggling injuries.
Chelsea were forced to sign Olivier Giroud in the January transfer window to provide another outlet of goals but it seems they are on the lookout for another new striker this summer, with Robert Lewandowski and Gonzalo Higuain both linked.
Morata has been linked with a move to Juventus and AC Milan throughout the last few months and according to fresh Italian claims, Gennaro Gattuso’s side have made the signing of the Spaniard a priority.
The former Real Madrid star has been spotted in Italy on numerous occasions lately but it’s thought that this was due to leisure, rather than business.
Morata will hope to enjoy a more productive season in 2018/19, but whether he will be playing his football at Chelsea or in Serie A once again remains to be seen.
