Chelsea confirm pre-season plans

Chelsea have announced changes to their pre-season plans.

Chelsea will kick off their pre-season with a friendly in Australia at the brand new Optus Stadium, as they take on Perth Glory on Monday 23rd July before they compete in the International Champions Cup.

The Blues will play three European International Champions Cup fixtures ahead of the 2018/19 campaign in what will be their fifth time competing in the International Champions Cup, but the first time they compete in Europe.

Chelsea will first face Inter Milan at Nice’s Allianz Riviera Stadium on Saturday 28th July.

Antonio Conte’s side will then travel to Dublin to take on Premier League rivals Arsenal at the Aviva Stadium on Wednesday 1st August before of course lining up against Manchester City on Sunday 5th August at Wembley in the Community Shield.

Chelsea will then conclude their pre-season by playing host to Ligue 1 side Lyon at Stamford Bridge on Tuesday 7th August.

Chelsea had previously announced plans to play International Champions Cup fixtures in Poland and Sweden.
