Chelsea reportedly still keen on deal for Aleksandr Golovin

Chelsea are reportedly still keen on a summer deal for CSKA Moscow midfielder Aleksandr Golovin.

The young playmaker enjoyed an impressive season in his homeland of Russia and has attracted interest from a host of top clubs across Europe, including Chelsea.

For months, reports linking Golovin with a move to Stamford Bridge had quietened down but according to fresh claims from Tuttosport, as cited by Calciomercato, the Blues remain out to secure the player.

Golovin, who is a key player for Russia in their bid to progress in this summer’s World Cup, impressed throughout last season because of his creativity and ability to influence games in the final third.

CSKA want to keep hold of their prized asset but if reports are to be believed, they will be willing to sanction a sale if their valuation of €25 million is met. Also, it’s claimed that the Russian giants are insisting on a 25% sell-on clause in any deal for Golovin.

Although, if the promising midfielder goes on to enjoy an impressive tournament this summer, CSKA could see fit to demand a higher fee for their star man.

Chelsea are not alone in their interest in the player, however. According to the claims from Tuttosport, Arsenal and Juventus are also keen on a summer deal.
