Brentford eye Jay Dasilva loan swoop
Brentford will rival Derby County for the signature of Jay Dasilva this summer, according to the Daily Mirror.
The report claims that the Bees are also interested in signing up the highly-rated young defender following his spell at Charlton.
Previous reports have linked Frank Lampard with a raid on his former side following his appointment at Derby.
Lampard named Chelsea academy coach Jody Morris as his assistant at Derby and Dasilva will be a player that the latter knows very well.
The 21-year-old spent the end of last season on loan at The Valley, where he earned some rave reviews.
Charlton boss Lee Bowyer went as far as comparing him to Ashley Cole, claiming Dasilva is better now than the former Chelsea and Arsenal defender was at his age.
The player is one of many youngsters who the Blues have high hopes for and a spell in the Championship could be the next step in his development as a professional footballer.
