Chelsea midfielder Marco van Ginkel set for another loan switch

Chelsea could be set to send Marco van Ginkel out on loan again next season, according to Turkish news outlet Takvim, as reported by talkSPORT.

It’s believed that Fenerbahce have expressed an interest in signing the Dutchman on a season-long loan deal this summer.

The 25-year-old has been at Stamford Bridge since 2013 but has failed to break into the first-team plans at the club, which has seen him perennially loaned out to clubs across Europe.

Van Ginkel’s contract runs until 2020 but his future at Chelsea does not look to be bright, with Fenerbahce emerging as a likely destination for the player next season.

During his tenure with the Blues, Van Ginkel has been loaned out to AC Milan, Stoke City and most recently PSV Eindhoven.

Fenerbahce are said to be closing in on the appointment of Phillip Cocu as their new manager, and it’s believed that the boss is a keen admirer of Van Ginkel, who he worked with during his spell in Holland with PSV.
