Chelsea youngster Panzo set for Monaco move

Chelsea youngster Jonathan Panzo looks set to secure a dramatic move to AS Monaco, according to reports in France.

Loic Tanzi of RMC Sport has confirmed that the two clubs have agreed a fee for the player.

He claims that the Ligue 1 outfit are hoping to wrap up a deal swiftly, with the Blues set to lose a highly-rated defender.

Monaco have become known for swooping for the best young talent around Europe in recent years and Michael Emenalo is likely to have played a key role in this deal following his move to the Stade Louis II.

Panzo is yet to make a first-team appearance for Chelsea and could be looking to seek a move abroad for regular football elsewhere.

He is a versatile defender who predominantly plays through the centre, but can also play out on the left.

During his time at the club he has been part of two FA Youth Cup winning sides and was a member of England’s U-17 World Cup-winning squad.
