Chelsea and Manchester United are reportedly stepping up their efforts to lure Robert Lewandowski away from Bayern Munich this summer.
The Blues have been heavily linked with a move for the Poland international ahead of next season, with the player keen to depart the Allianz Arena in the near future.
Chelsea, among a host of other top European clubs, have expressed an interest in signing Lewandowski. However, according to fresh claims from France, the club have initiated contact with the experienced forward’s agent Pini Zahavi to negotiate a deal.

It’s believed that Lewandowski has his heart set on a move to Real Madrid this summer, but the prospect of playing for a top club in the Premier League may be a tempting proposition for the striker.
Lewandowski is sure to be an expensive acquisition for interested parties, given his importance to Bayern Munich. However, this does not appear to have deterred Chelsea in their pursuit of the Polish front-man.
