Juventus considering move for Palmieri

Juventus are keeping tabs on Emerson Palmieri’s situation at Stamford Bridge, despite him only joining the club back in January.

According to Tutto Mercato Web, the Turin side are considering the player as a possible target, with his future at Chelsea uncertain.

The report claims that the Old Lady have not opened negotiations with Chelsea as of yet.

Palmieri was unable to break into the Chelsea side following his move to the Premier League.

Antonio Conte preferred to use Victor Moses in his 3-4-3 system, claiming Palmieri needed to learn how Chelsea played before earning a place in the side.

Prior to his move to Chelsea, Palmieri had been heavily linked with a move to Juventus, who considered him as a replacement for Alex Sandro, with the latter looking set to move to the Premier League.

Sandro’s move to the Premier League did not materialise, so the Brazilian-born defender stayed at Roma until Chelsea paid £18 million to bring him to London.
