Chelsea are in talks with Newcastle over a £20 million deal for Brazilian winger Kenedy.
Simon Johnson of the London Evening Standard reports that the player could be set to join the Magpies on loan with the option to buy.
Rafa Benitez’s men have been keen to bring in the winger on a permanent basis after he enjoyed a successful stint on loan at St James’ Park.
Kenedy, who joined Chelsea with much promise, had fallen out of favour at Stamford Bridge last season.
After being sent home from the club’s pre-season tour, he found game time hard to come by under head coach Antonio Conte.
Kenedy joined Newcastle on loan during the January window and added some much-needed pace and trickery to their attack, playing a key role in their survival push.
Newcastle have also been linked with a move for Crystal Palace winger Andros Townsend, but Kenedy has been a key target for Benitez since the end of the season.
