Kasey Palmer given permission to talk to Derby County

Derby Country have been given permission by Chelsea to discuss a move for Kasey Palmer, according to Sky Sports.

Palmer spent the second half of the last campaign on loan with the Rams but was unable to help them get promoted back to the Premier League as they lost in the play-offs.

Chelsea legend Frank Lampard is now in charge at Pride Park at he’ll know plenty about Palmer.

The 21-year-old is keen to play first-team football and as his path to the Chelsea team looks blocked, he is happy to move, either permanently or on loan once again.

Palmer will be given the chance to talk to Derby and then it will be up to all parties to decide whether the England U21 international will move to Pride Park on loan or on a permanent deal.

Norwich City are also keen to sign Palmer on loan but as it stands, it looks like Derby will be his destination.
