Chelsea’s sister side Vitesse have been given first refusal to sign Aleksandr Golovin on loan this summer.
Dutch outlet VI claims that the Eredivisie side could land the Russian international on loan if the Blues do not decide to keep him involved in the first-team squad.
Previous reports have suggested that Chelsea envisage the player battling for a place in the first-team squad should he complete a £27 million move from CSKA Moscow.
Golovin is being heavily tipped to join the Blues after impressing at the World Cup in Russia.
The midfielder is someone the club have tracked for some time and Maurizio Sarri is a known admirer of the player. With that in mind, it is unlikely that the Blues will be looking to loan the player out this summer.
Chelsea have reportedly agreed to pay CSKA their £27 million asking price, with Juventus no longer believed to be in the running for the player.
