Roman Abramovich has personally called Napoli’s Aurelio De Laurentiis in a bid to speed up an agreement over Maurizio Sarri.
According to Corriere dello Sport, as cited on Sport Mediaset, the Chelsea owner has taken matters into his hands after days of talks between the two clubs.
Napoli and Chelsea remain in discussions over a fee to release Sarri from his contract in Naples, despite the Italians already hiring Carlo Ancelotti as his replacement.

Talks are said to have been held through the representatives of both parties but Abramovich has acted himself as the Blues look to seal a deal within the next few hours.
The report claims that Napoli have also continued talks with Marina Granovskaia, with a deal appearing to be in the final stages.
Antonio Conte remains in charge at Chelsea and is beginning the club’s pre-season preparations today as senior players returned to the training ground over the weekend.
