Chelsea look to hijack Man City’s move for Jorginho

Chelsea have made ‘a late bid’ to hijack Jorginhos move to Premier League rivals Manchester City, according to reports.

Jorginho has already agreed personal terms with Man City and is apparently keen to make a switch to the Etihad, but no fee has been agreed between Napoli and the Premier League champions at this time.

Chelsea have reportedly made a late swoop to sign the Italian international and with Napoli coach Maurizio Sarri set to be named as the club’s new manager this week, they are hoping that the 26-year-old will decide that a move to Stamford Bridge is the better option for him at this stage of his career.

Jorginho was left out of the Napoli squad for their pre-season training programme, with many observers suggesting that a deal had already been agreed between Napoli and City, but it appears that such an agreement has not been reached and as such, Chelsea have decided to jump in
