Robert Lewandowski set to stay at Bayern Munich

Chelsea target Robert Lewandowski has reportedly had a change of heart and has decided to stay at Bayern Munich.

It was reported earlier in the summer that the Polish striker was looking for a move away from the Bundesliga champions and Chelsea were muted as one of his possible destinations, as were Manchester United.

However, Real Madrid were touted as the favourites to sign the 29-year-old, but it appears that he’ll now be staying in Germany.

The links to Manchester United never really made sense as they already have an abundance of attacking options, but Chelsea are seemingly in the market for a new striker with Alvaro Morata’s future up in the air.

The Blues were said to be interested in Lewandowski, although they never made an official bid.

However, even if they do have an interest in the Poland captain, it looks like they’ll need to find another striker to target as he seems set to remain in Munich.
