Chelsea target Bonucci eyes move away from Milan
Leonardo Bonucci is reportedly keen to leave AC Milan this summer, amid interest from Premier League trio Chelsea, Manchester United and Manchester City.
According to claims from Spazio Milan, as cited in a report from Football Italia, the experienced central defender’s agent Alessandro Lucci has contacted the club to inform them that Bonucci would like to leave San Siro this summer.
Bonucci has endured a difficult tenure with Milan following his move from Juventus last summer and is also understood to be the club’s highest earner.
This could prompt Milan to sanction the sale of Bonucci to a potential suitor like Chelsea this summer, as they continue to come under pressure regarding their compliance with the Financial Fair Play regulations.
Bonucci has established himself as one of the world’s best central defenders in recent years but could be set to seek pastures new after a relatively unsuccessful spell with Milan.
Chelsea do, however, appear to be on the verge of signing Daniele Rugani from Juventus, indicating that another central defender may not be on their agenda.
