Callejon not in Ancelotti’s tactical plans
Jose Callejon is being tipped to leave Napoli this summer because he does not fit into Carlo Ancelotti’s tactical plans.
Calcio Mercato reports that the AC Milan and Chelsea target is expected to fall out of favour in Naples under the Italian.
The former Chelsea boss is hoping to play a ‘Christmas tree’ formation at Napoli, something he has been known to use in the past.
The system has been very successful for Ancelotti previously. However, due to the narrow nature of the formation, it is hard to see where Callejon fits in.
Maurizio Sarri is said to be interested in bringing the Spaniard to Stamford Bridge after the success he enjoyed under him last season.
Callejon is reportedly valued at around €35 million by Napoli, despite looking set to fall out of favour at the club.
The report claims that Milan are hopeful of a deal because Callejon is represented by the same agent as Pepe Reina, who has recently swapped Naples for the San Siro.
