Chelsea are facing a decisive next 24 hours in their pursuit of Juventus star Daniele Rugani, according to reports in Italy.
The Blues have been keen to wrap up a deal for the Italian international throughout the summer transfer window so far and following the arrival of Maurizio Sarri at the club, it seems they have accelerated their pursuit.
Juventus are demanding a huge sum for Rugani, if reports are to be believed, with the club understood to be keen to receive at least €50 million from the sale of their defender.
It appears negotiations have been advancing over a deal, however, Calciomercato claim that Friday will be a ‘decisive day’ in Chelsea’s bid to land the centre-back.
Rugani is believed to be a top target for Sarri as he looks to add further quality to the defensive ranks at Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea are already well-stocked with a number of options at centre-back. However, both David Luiz and Gary Cahill have been linked with respective moves away this summer as the Blues close in on Rugani.
