Chelsea are reportedly interested in signing PSG goalkeeper Alphonse Areola this summer.
The Blues are believed to be exploring goalkeeping options as they gear up for the proposed departure of starting ‘keeper Thibaut Courtois to Real Madrid in the near future.
A host of goalkeepers have been linked with moves to Stamford Bridge but according to fresh reports from France, Areola has emerged as a target for Maurizio Sarri’s side.
The French international has been heavily linked with a move away from PSG in recent weeks following the arrival of Gianluigi Buffon from Juventus.
Roma were believed to be keen on a deal for Areola, but it seems Chelsea could pip them to the World Cup winner’s signature as they step up their efforts to sign a goalkeeper.
It’s stated that Areola’s preference would be to leave PSG only on an initial loan deal, with a move to the Premier League something he would be keen on this summer.
