Manchester City winger Leroy Sane is tipping Chelsea to be the Premier League champions’ biggest rivals this season.
Speaking to the BBC, as reported by the Metro, Sane believes that Maurizio Sarri’s appointment will see the Blues compete for the Premier League title.
When asked about City’s rivals this season, the German winger admitted that Sarri could bring both style and results to Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea have brought in a really good coach. The way Napoli played last season was really attractive. We really suffered against them. They might need some time to get used to his tactics but they could be a really tough team. I think Chelsea.
The Blues failed to defend their Premier League title last season, with Pep Guardiola winning the league in historic fashion.
Sarri’s Napoli side were unfortunate to miss out on the Scudetto last season, finishing on an impressive 91 points.
Many believed Napoli would beat Juventus to the title, but a strong run of form in the tail end of the season saw the Old Lady pip them at the last stage.
