Valencia linked with swoop for Michy Batshuayi

Chelsea striker Michy Batshuayi has emerged as a transfer target for Valencia, according to reports.

Kristof Terreur claims that the La Liga side are in the market for a striker, but would not be able to afford a permanent deal for the Belgian.

Terreur hints at another loan move for Batshuayi after he spent the second half of last season on loan at Borussia Dortmund.

He also claims that the move will depend on Chelsea’s stance on the forward.

With the striker yet to return from his post-World Cup holiday, no decision has seemingly been made about his future at Stamford Bridge and if he fits into Maurizio Sarri’s plans this season.

Batshuayi impressed while on loan at Dortmund, scoring seven goals in nine starts before an injury cut short his domestic season.

With Chelsea considering a move for Gonzalo Higuain this summer, a striker is clearly on Sarri’s wanted list, meaning the Belgian could also get a chance to impress.
