Marseille have joined the race to sign Chelsea striker Olivier Giroud this summer.
According to The Mirror, Marseille are keen on bringing Giroud back to France, with the striker available to leave Chelsea.
The report claims that Atletico Madrid will also challenge for his signature, as they look to strengthen their attack.
Maurizio Sarri has taken over as Chelsea’s head coach this summer and is open to letting Giroud leave the club.
This comes just seven months after he joined the club from Arsenal for a deal in the region of £18m.
Giroud scored in the FA Cup semi-final against Southampton to send his side to the final, which they went on to win against Arsenal.
The forward also won the World Cup with France this summer, despite failing to register a single shot on target in the competition.
