Real Madrid reportedly make £100m swoop for Chelsea duo

Real Madrid have made a £100 million swoop for Chelsea duo Willian and Thibaut Courtois, according to claims from the Daily Mail.

Los Blancos have been eyeing Chelsea ‘keeper Courtois for some time now and it seems as though they have firmed up their interest in the player with a formal offer.

Courtois has only one year remaining on his deal at Stamford Bridge and Real are believed to be intent on luring him back to La Liga, following his successful spell with Atletico Madrid earlier on in his career.

Willian, meanwhile, appears to have emerged as a target for the club. The Brazilian international was previously the subject of several offers from Barcelona. However, the La Liga champions opted to recruit the player’s compatriot, Malcom as an attacking signing.

The Blues pair are likely to be key components of Maurizio Sarri’s plans for Chelsea ahead of the upcoming season, so there will undoubtedly be a reluctance to sanction either player’s sale.

However, if the Mail’s claims are proven to be correct, a bumper offer worth £100 million would certainly be of temptation to the Blues.
