Tiemoue Bakayoko ready to stay put at Chelsea

Chelsea midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko is ready to stay put and fight for his future at the club.

The Frenchman endured a difficult first season in English football following his big-money move from AS Monaco in the summer and speculation had surfaced regarding his future at the club.

La Liga outfit Sevilla had reportedly identified Bakayoko as a potential replacement for Steven N’Zonzi this summer. Serie A duo Inter and AC Milan had also been linked with the player.

However, according to a report from RMC Sport, as cited by Calciomercato.it, Bakayoko is unwilling to leave Chelsea this summer and is determined to right his previous wrongs.

Maurizio Sarri recently added Jorginho to his squad from Napoli, indicating that Bakayoko would be pushed even further down the pecking order of midfielders in the first-team squad.

However, this does not appear to have deterred Bakayoko, whose goal appears to be to prove himself after struggling to adapt to Premier League football last term.
