Barcelona reportedly initiate contact over deal for Eden Hazard

Barcelona have initiated contact with Chelsea as they pursue a deal for Eden Hazard, according to claims from France.

The Catalan giants appear to be intent on strengthening their attacking options this summer and have reportedly lined up a big deal for Hazard, following their acquisition of Bordeaux winger Malcom.

Hazard has been the subject of plenty of speculation throughout the summer transfer window, with Real Madrid understood to have identified him as a top target.

However, in recent times, talk has cooled down regarding a potential swoop from Los Blancos, and Barcelona have emerged as a potential destination for the Belgian international.

Chelsea want to keep Hazard but are aware that his deal at the club expires in only two years. Nevertheless, it’s likely that only a mammoth offer would tempt them into considering the sale of their talismanic attacker at this stage of the summer.
