Chelsea have reportedly identified Sevilla man Sergio Rico as a potential replacement for Thibaut Courtois.
The Blues have been left with a decision to make regarding Courtois’ future at the club, with the Belgian international believed to have gone AWOL after being expected to arrive for pre-season training at Cobham on Monday.
Courtois is understood to be keen to make the switch to Real Madrid this summer, with Los Blancos having expressed a strong interest in recruiting the former Atletico loanee.

However, Chelsea don’t want to sell Courtois without the knowledge that a replacement has been secured. According to a report from the Telegraph, Sevilla goalkeeper Rico features on the club’s shortlist of potential goalkeeping signings before the window slams shut on Thursday evening.
Rico enjoyed a strong season in La Liga with Sevilla and remains a key player for his side. However, Chelsea’s interest could be of interest to the player, who has previously been linked with a move to the Premier League this summer.
Stoke City goalkeeper Jack Butland also features on Chelsea’s list of possible targets, according to the Telegraph.
