New Chelsea goalkeeper Kepa has confirmed that the Blues have previously tried to sign him on a number of occasions.
Speaking at his unveiling at Stamford Bridge through a translator, Kepa played down suggestions that he was a panic signing from the club, with interest from the Blues dating back for some time.

It had been claimed that Chelsea’s hand was forced in a deal to sign Kepa following Thibaut Courtois’ decision to not return to training.
Kepa joins the club as the world’s most expensive goalkeeper after a big-money move from Athletic Bilbao.
The goalkeeper’s move to Chelsea was confirmed late last night following Courtois’ move to Real Madrid.
The latter was unveiled as a Real Madrid player earlier today after months of being linked with a return to Spain.
