Chelsea defender Ola Aina is set to sign for Italian side Torino on loan, turning down interest from England.

Gianluca Di Marzio reports that the Italian side have won the race to sign the Nigeria international.

Torino have been watching the player for a number of weeks now, but faced competition from both West Brom and Derby County.

The report claims that the deal could be made official in the coming hours, with the European window still open.

Frank Lampard’s side had previously expressed an interest, but they opted to sign Fikayo Tomori instead.

West Brom were keen to bring the player to the club as they target an immediate return to the Premier League.

Aina spent last season on loan at Hull City but is now set to take his career abroad, in a similar move that saw Nathaniel Chalobah join Napoli during his time at the club.
