Marseille are set to test Chelsea’s resolve once again this month in a move to sign Olivier Giroud.
According to Le10 Sport, as cited on TalkSPORT, the Ligue 1 side are preparing to launch another bid to sign the former Arsenal striker.
Marseille were heavily linked with the striker earlier this summer, with suggestions that the player had held talks over a potential move.
The striker has been very vocal in his desire to stay at the club and fight for his place, despite primarily being a back-up to Alvaro Morata.
Michy Batshuayi was allowed to leave the club to join Valencia on loan when it became clear that the Frenchman would be staying.
Tammy Abraham is now expected to fight it out as the club’s third-choice striker.
The European transfer market is open until the end of the month, but with Chelsea unable to replace the player, it is yet to be seen how interested they would be in selling.
