Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri has chosen to keep Ruben Loftus-Cheek despite loan offers for the midfielder, the Metro reports.
Loftus-Cheek cut short his post World Cup holiday in order to try and impress the new Blues boss and cement himself in the Chelsea first-team.
The England international has been linked with a move abroad this summer with the transfer window for many of Europe’s top leagues not closing until August 31st.
Bundesliga side Schalke in particular have been heavily linked with a move for Loftus-Cheek but the midfielder has already rejected a move to the club as he hopes to fight for his place under Sarri.

Despite making a second half appearance for Chelsea in their 3-0 win against Huddersfield at the weekend, Loftus-Cheek will still have to fight the likes of Cesc Fabregas, Jorginho, N’Golo Kante, Ross Barkley and Mateo Kovacic to become a regular in the side.
However it is believed that the youngster is part of Sarri’s plans and the Chelsea boss spoke about the 22-year-old’s potential during pre-season.
He’s potentially a great player. He has to improve from a tactical point of view but I think it’s not a problem. He is very young, he can be a very useful player for us.
