Maurizio Sarri has confirmed that Cesc Fabregas will not be available for selection this weekend as Chelsea welcome Arsenal to Stamford Bridge.
Speaking at his weekly pre-match press conference, Sarri confirmed what had been expected.
It had been claimed that a knee injury would rule the Spaniard out of the clash against his former side, but the Chelsea head coach confirmed he would be back in training as usual next week.

Fabregas did not start against Huddersfield in Chelsea’s opening game of the season, but he was heavily involved during pre-season.
Ross Barkley, Jorginho and N’Golo Kante started in a midfield three and it is yet to be seen if Sarri will make any changes.
He has hinted that new summer signing Mateo Kovacic could feature from the bench as he continues to prove his fitness following his loan move from Real Madrid.
Ruben Loftus-Cheek will also be hoping to get some minutes under his belt to kick-start his Chelsea career.
