Chelsea midfielder Ruben Loftus-Cheek is hoping to go out on loan before the end of August as he wants to play regular first-team football, according to a report from John Cross of The Mirror.
Loftus-Cheek wasn’t even named in the matchday squad for the weekend’s win over Arsenal and it looks like he’s not in Maurizio Sarri’s immediate plans.
The 22-year-old wants to ensure that he is playing regularly so he can keep his place in the England set-up after being part of Gareth Southgate’s 23 man squad at the World Cup.

According to Cross, there has been a lot of interest from Spain for Loftus-Cheek, who was not able to secure another loan move to Crystal Palace during the recent transfer window.
However, the midfielder might not be allowed to leave on loan as Chelsea like to tie their players down to new deals before loaning them out but Loftus-Cheek, with three years left on his contract, won’t sign an extension without assurances about playing time in the future.
