Chelsea saw €50m Pjanic bid turned down by Juventus

Chelsea made a €50 million bid to sign Miralem Pjanic from Juventus this summer, but the offer was turned down by the Italian giants.

According to Calciomercato, who cite claims from Sky Italia, Juventus chiefs Guiseppe Marorra and Fabio Paratici were not interested in selling the player.

After switching agents and linking up with Fali Ramadani, it had been suggested that the former Roma star was angling for a move away from the club.

However, this report claims that Chelsea would have needed to double their offer for the Old Lady to entertain the deal.

Maurizio Sarri was very interested in bringing the player to Chelsea this summer.

However, both Jorginho and Mateo Kovacic joined the Blues, strengthening Sarri’s options in the middle of the park.

The player is also expected to be offered a new improved deal to extend his stay at Juventus and end any speculation about his future.
