Galatasaray president Mustafa Cengiz and Chelsea director Marina Granovskaia are locked in talks over the potential transfer of Gary Cahill to the Turkish champions, Turkish Football report.
Galatasaray are keen to sign a central defender before the transfer window closes on September 1st and Cahill is believed to be a top priority for the club.
The Turkish side missed out on signing Manchester City centre-back Jason Denayer this week after he signed for Lyon.
Denayer had spent last season on loan in Turkey, helping Galatasaray to their 21st League title.

But now the club are keen to tie up a deal for England international Cahill with a formal offer ready to be tabled.
Cahill has just 12 months left on his current deal at Stamford Bridge and has not yet been offered a new contract with the club, despite making 43 appearances for the Blues last season.
The 32-year-old has not featured in either of Chelsea’s opening two Premier League fixtures and could be tempted by the possibility of regular first-team football and Champions League football with Galatasaray.
