Loftus-Cheek to remain at Chelsea until January at least

Chelsea head coach Maurizio Sarri has confirmed that midfielder Ruben Loftus-Cheek will remain at the club until January.

Speaking at his weekly pre-match press conference, Sarri confirmed that he has spoken to both the player and the club about his future, but insisted that he is in his plans.

He hinted that the player’s situation could change in December if he is not playing regularly at Stamford Bridge.

It had been suggested that the player could leave on loan before the end of the month, with several European teams interested in signing him.

Schalke and clubs in La Liga were all linked with moves for Loftus-Cheek.

The midfielder was left out of his match-day squad to face Arsenal last weekend, which raised more questions about his future at Stamford Bridge.

Loftus-Cheek was being tipped to break into Chelsea side this season after an impressive World Cup in Russia.
